My Story
Hi Friend!
I am Georgette, the heart and hand behind Oblique Ink.
I am a self proclaimed Heart with Legs, and I want to help in any and every way I can.
Beginning as a child, I have been obsessed with handwriting of all forms. Little did I know that years down the road that obsession would lead me to create timeless pieces for the most important occasions.
I specialize in Heirloom Calligraphy.
Many calligraphers design beautiful pieces, address stunning envelopes, and create gorgeous invitations. While these are great pieces, my heart is drawn to your story. I enjoy to spend the time listening to my clients stories, what matters to them, what draws them to this particular piece.
I have had the honor to create Memorials for children who have lost their parents, parents who have lost babies, friends who have lost significant others. I have created Baby Announcements, Wedding Announcements, Retirement Announcements, Baptismal Certificates, Corporate Certificates and High School Diplomas. I have been blessed to help husbands show their love to their wives with hand scribed, personally narrated poems and books of poetry. I have been trusted to engrave ornaments for men who have waited decades for their wives to be.
These stories, smiles and tears are not lost on me.
